Welcome to Hamilton Astronomy

Welcome to the "New" Hamilton Astronomy.com, I appreciate you stopping by to visit.  The purpose of this site is to share, in some small way, my love of this wonderful hobby of Astronomy.  Here you will find my astronomical images, articles I have written, some of my equipment, and a link to my blog where I share my musings on the world of astronomy.

I aways welcome comments or questions from my vistors, you will find information on contacting me on the 'About Me' page.  Again, thank you for visiting today and hope you come back soon as the site is updated constantly.

We're Moving....

For the past 5 years, the King George Observatory has been my haven for viewing the skies, imaging, and simply admiring the heavens. Now, due to numerous reasons, not the least of which being the construction of a new Wal-Mart less than a mile south of my home, I am moving. My wonderful observatory will be left behind for someone else to hopefully use in the future.

My new home will be located in Gum Spring, VA, about half way between Richmond and Charlottesville. The skies are VERY dark, especially for this area, and, in the near future, I will be constructing a new observatory.

So, thanks to all that have visited my site and have viewed, vicariously, thru me and my cameras, the images I have captured here. Please check back soon as I will be posting plans for the new observatory and will update the web site often on how it is coming along.

Just a Good Quote

"For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance, he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.'' Robert Jastrow, God and the Astronomers, London (1992)
